ID THEFT:

I don't understand.....How can companies like "LIFELOCK" be so affective at preventing "ID THEFT". When the people we trust with our information , like Banks, the S.S., insurance companies, mortgage companies and medical groups, loose or misuse the information all the time? It seems to me, they need to learn a lesson, from companies like Lifelock....It also seems to me it would be in their interest to do so....Why don't they?
